The
strip function removes trailing whitespace (blanks, newlines, etc.) from the
string_expression. The result of the function is often used as an argument to other functions such as the
length and
concat functions.
You will generally not have to use the
strip function when working with variable-length
strings since they do not have spaces automatically added to the end of the text to match a fixed width.
The function returns a string with no trailing whitespace.
