Hi!
I'm using Dropbox to sync data and am trying to download the data that has been collected so far. When I try to download the data I get an error which says: "Error:Unable to read response from server. See log file for details." Based on the response to another similar post I found by sync log file in Windows: Users\username\AppData\Roaming\CSPro\sync.log
I'm guessing the issue is a corrupted data file in Dropbox, but based on the log file I'm having a hard time figuring out which file it is so that I can remove it. Here is the information at the end of the log file. I'm also attaching the complete log file.
Any suggestions for identifying which file is problematic?

Re: Error downloading data with data viewer
Based on the log it looks like the file 318a80c15518b36d$2abc663f-f66a-4a02-970b-67482708fe5e is the one that is corrupted. Try deleting that and sync again.
Re: Error downloading data with data viewer
Looking more closely at this I believe the issue is that you have interviewers uploading data to Dropbox using CSPro 7.5 (this can happen if you do not disable auto-updates on Android) but you are trying to download the data using CSPro 7.4 on your PC. Please upgrade to CSPro 7.5 on the PC and it should work. We changed the format of the data stored in the Dropbox in CSPro 7.5. It is now compressed and CSPro 7.4 cannot read it.
Re: Error downloading data with data viewer
I just tried upgrading to 7.5 and that worked. It also seems to work to remove the data from the one tablet and download with 7.4. It seems one of our data collectors must have auto-updates enabled and upgraded to 7.5 mid-way through data collection.
Thanks for the quick response and solution!

Re: Error downloading data with data viewer
Glad it is working. For anyone else reading this and wondering how to disable auto-updates on Android see this https://www.csprousers.org/posts/2018-0 ... droid.html
Would strongly recommend disabling updates of CSEntry on any devices used in the field so that you can control when your devices are updated.

Hi GUY,
I am having the same problem. Follow your suggestion, i am trying to download cspro 7.5 to install in my laptop but when clicking the download link i got this message: "You don't have permission to access "http://www.census.gov/data/software/cspro.Download.html" on this server". seem like it restricted to download the latest version in my country. But need it now, I am on the field. I need help now please!

Re: Error downloading data with data viewer
Hello Josh, I am having a similar issue. I'm using cspro 8.0 and all my data collectors are using the same version of cs entry. But am getting an error when trying to download the data from drop box using data viewer

Re: Error downloading data with data viewer
Hello,
If everyone is running cspro 8.0 there should not be a version mismatch issue. There may still be corrupted files. Could you attach (or email to cspro@lists.census.gov if confidential) your sync.log file found in CSPro under Help -> Troubleshooting, so we can see the exact details of what is causing this error?
Thank you,
Justin
