ftpes/ftps - Invalid username and password

Post by chathu »

Hi,
I've configured an FTP server using SSL/TLS Encryption, in a CentOS 7 Server, for CSPro. It is correctly connecting through ftpes/ftps using any ftp client such as FileZilla. But once I try to synchronize through CSPro even in a windows PC, it gives the error "Invalid username and password", and data synchronization is not performed. Since the created SSL Certificate is self-signed, I've added it to my PC's certificate store.
I would appreciate if you would consider this matter.
Thank you.

Please post the sync.log file from the PC. You can find it in the directory C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\CSPro. Also please post the log from the Filezilla server.

Dear Josh,

Here I've added the sync.log file (I just replaced my server IP with X.X.X.X). I'm using CentOS 7 vsftpd as the ftp server, not FileZilla. In the CentOS server logs, there's nothing regarding this issue.

Hi Josh,
I just configured a FileZilla server and enabled explicit TLS/SSL & tried to connect from CSPro with ftpes. Here I've attached the FileZilla Server log and CSPro sync.log.

I thought that this worked before but when I tried it on my machine just now with the same setup (Filezilla and self-signed certificate) and I get the same error. We will look into it but it may be a while before we have a fix so please us regular FTP in the meantime.

FTPS/FTPES should be fine from an Android device since we use a different library for FTP there than we do on Windows.

Unfortunately, we have not addressed this issue. Please use regular FTP as a workaround.
