Introduction to CSView

CSView is a tool that displays files in a web browser that has access to the Action Invoker. Files are displayed using a Chromium-based web browser (Edge WebView2 on Windows; WebView on Android).
To open the tool, select CSView from CSPro's Tools menu. Alternatively, the tool can be run in a production setting by using a PFF file. On Windows, .cshtml files are associated with the tool, so it can be used as a starting point for some programs.
When running a CSPro application, you can also display files using the view function. Using view and CSView can lead to similar results, however CSView will only display files in an embedded web browser, whereas view will attempt to show files in the file's native application. For example, using CSView to view a text file will show the text file in a web browser, whereas using view may show it in a program such as Notepad.
