Run a Sort

  1. Click on the toolbar; or from the File menu, select Run; or press Ctrl+R.
  2. Enter the location of the data file to sort. Note the run dialog will allow you to select .dat or .csdb files. However, CSSort can only sort text-based files (.dat). If you need to sort a .csdb file, use DataViewer's "File -> Save as" feature to save it as a .dat file first.
  3. Enter the name of the file that will contain the sorted results. CSSort will default to the same file location as the input file. If you prefer another location, use the Browse... button to navigate to it. Note the output file can be either a .dat or .csdb file.
