Hi

We are working with CAPI in rural areas where net connectivity will be weak. But still once the system is connected to internet, data should get uploaded into server located in main office. Can any one help in finding a solution for the same.

One solution that one major organization uses is to add Dropbox to the computers where data is collected. Then the CSPro data files are created in the Dropbox folder. Then when you have Internet access, the data is synched to the main office.

This is an easy and creative solution that avoids the need for creating a complicating synchronization system. You'll just have to make sure that each user is entering data to a file with a unique name.

There are other tools out there for synchronization that you might consider using, but I think that Dropbox is probably the most popular option.

Dear Gregory

Thanks for the response, yes it is an good idea, but we are using 160 LAPTOPs to collect data in two different states, connecting all the systems to internet will be difficult. But it may work in another way, if supervisor collect and place the data in DropBox and that can be taken from our end. We will see the posibility of using this facility.

The above is a section of a data file. It gets corrupted after a write delay or for some unknown reason. The only way is to fix it is to open the data file in a CSPro entry then change a data item value before the corruption then that will solve the problem.
