Sync error

Post by Mariovaisman »

Hello,
I have a new csweb server (8.0) over a cpanel server.
The first time I used it, I tested with three dictionaries, one of those gave me the error 403 and the other two uploaed without any issue.
Then tried again and all the three dictionaries gave me the same "Error connecting to server: error 403",
I have other csweb server with 8.0 and I didn't experimet this issue.

Continuing with the test, I removed all the three dictionaries from the server and added again, means all files with no records. Now it is impossible to put cases, always give me "Error connecting to server: error 403".
the syncconnect() works fine in all cases.

Thanks
Mario

Hello,

It is possible that Error 403 is being caused by your server security flagging the CSPro connection as a false-positive. See this post on the forums for details. You can check your cPanel apache error log to see if you are getting a security problem here.

If you do not see a security error in your apache error log, you can post your sync.log file (found at CSPro's Help -> Troubleshooting -> sync.log file) and your apache error log here or to cspro@lists.census.gov so that we can see what is causing this issue.

Hope this helps,
Justin
