Download error

Hi,

We are running several questionnaires on the same server. Most of them are working just fine. But in one case, when we try to download the cases form the server, using the Data Viewer, we receive the error message I attach and no - or only a handful of - cases are downloaded.
Can anyone help us?

Hi,

It may be that there are multiple instances of dataviewer running. Try restarting the machine and redownloading. If that doesn't work, send us the sync.log from your computer. You can also try circumventing dataviewer download by making a simple batch application that downloads the data with a call to syncdata. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hope this helps,
Justin

Thank you.
No there is only one instance of Data Viewer running.
Where can I find the sync.log?

See the Troubleshooting section at the bottom of the Synchronization Overview. On Windows you can find the sync log by opening CSPro and going to Help->Troubleshooting->Sync Log, or under the %AppData%\CSPro folder.

Thank you very much.
Do you have an email address I can send the sync.log to? It contains information I would prefer not to post for everyone to see.

The CSPro support email is cspro@lists.census.gov.

Problem solved. If you ever come across this yourself, start here: viewtopic.php?t=5270.
You will need to have access to the database on your server.
Thanks for your help, Justin and Savy!
