Bonjour,
j'aimerais savoir si la prise des coordonnées GPS ou la bonne précision dépend forcement d'une connexion internet.

Merci

We should be more explicit about this, but an internet connection has no bearing on a GPS reading. GPS readings are taken from satellites. If you are in an area where there are not many satellites positioned (far) overhead, the accuracy will suffer. Note this CSPro help page:

https://www.csprousers.org/help/CSPro/gps_function.html

and in particular the text further down, and what the "satellites" argument means when invoking the GPS function:
Satellites returns the number of satellites used to calculate the values in the last reading. Generally, the greater number of satellites, the better the quality of the reading.
Here's a page that discusses the impacts to the accuracy of your reading based on the number of satellites:

Merci déjà pour tous ces éléments.

Je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec la prise des coordonnées auparavant, cependant, dernièrement nous avons remarqué que la précision du GPS étaient très corrélé avec la connexion internet. Je suppose que le type de tablette que nous utilisons doit certainement avoir un lien avec cette particularité.

Je tenais à partager cela.

I stand corrected. Apparently in version 7.3 (https://www.csprousers.org/help/CSPro/w ... o_7_3.html ) we incorporated Google's fused location provider into our GPS calls. This means a wifi connection could be used to obtain a GPS reading (which would be especially helpful indoors, especially in multi-story buildings). If the GPS reading comes from a wifi connection, the gps(satellites) call should return 0. If you don't want to obtain a GPS reading through the internet, you would have to turn off the Android device's wifi, as it cannot be turned off within CSPro.

So, if anything CSPro GPS results should have gotten better, not worse, with the incorporation of the Google fused location provider.
