Dear CSPro;

I am using CSRPO 7.5.1. ON some of the tablets, auto-update from play store has been disabled. However on tables on which it was not disabled, on those tablets, the CSEntry goes update as 7.6.1. We have CSPro 7.5.1 apk file in each tablet. When we try to install 7.5.1 on 7.6.1, it shows error as App not installed.

When we first uninstall 7.6.1 it removes all the data as well and after that we can install 7.5.1.

Need your guidance.

When you uninstall the application, you are always going to lose any settings that Android stores in application-specific storage. As an example, you will lose any settings stored using loadsetting/savesetting.

When the csentry directory location changed in 7.5 due to Google's new security requirements, you will lose your application files as well. This would not have occurred in previous versions, just as your images wouldn't be removed due to removing some image-basic application.

So your best option is to copy the <external storage>/Android/data/gov.census.cspro.csentry/files/csentry folder to somewhere else on your tablet, uninstall CSEntry, install the old version of CSEntry, and then copy that folder back.
