Same dictionary with 2 files

Is there a way to have 2 different files using the same dictionary in a program, besides copying the dictionary .dcf file with another name?
Right now this is not possible. It is something that we may consider for a future release.
As you say, it's only possible by using a dictionary with a different dictionary name. The item names can be the same, but then you have to use dot notation:
DICT1.SEX
DICT2.SEX
