Hello Everyone.

I have a case where I want to enter ID items and if the case is new, It should let me start entering data, but if the case was entered before, it should let me edit or continue where I left off. The problem is when I enter an already entered case ID, I get the Duplicate errmsg.

Once you start adding a case you won't be able to switch to the existing case (as there is no way to get past the duplicate case message).

For what you are interested in doing, generally you do this with a menu program that controls how you enter data. The menu program shows you a list of partially saved cases that you can enter or it allows you to create a new case.

Another way to do this is with external forms, but that's a pretty advanced feature. In summary, there are ways to do what you want, but none are very easy.
