Please in the absence of CSPro, haven collected data and willing to edit it, how can the idx file be edited? How can one copy 2 bundles of information collected in different zones, 2 files into a single information on 1 file?

The idx file (index file) is only needed to make lookups fast. You should never need to edit it. You can simply delete it and open the data file in CSEntry and the index file will be recreated.

To edit data files you can either edit manually by opening the file in CSEntry or do automated (programmatic) edits using a batch edit application.

You can use the concatenate data tool to combine two data files into one.
