Erro: File name missing or contains wildcards (* or ?)

Post by tweg »

Dear,
I have created a lookup for villages within sub-locations following the steps shared Josh in earlier post. However, when I run the program I get a dialogue box asking for Input Data File (which I specify the .dat file created from Exceltocspro step) but I get the error message "File Associations incomplete. File name missing or contains wildcards (* or ?)". I am not sure what I did wrong.

Normally it should ask you for both the main data file and the lookup file(s). You get that error message when you leave one of them blank. In the image below you can see that the third row (second external file) is blank but the others are filled in. That blank row will cause the error the error that you are getting.

Hi Josh,

Thanks once again that has solved the problem that was giving the error message. When I do the entry I get the message that Sub-location not found in the lookup. I have attached here my program if you can look and let me know what I did wrong.

Thad

The logic file (Samia_survey.ent.apc) is missing from what you posted. Use "Pack Application" from the tools menu to create a zip files that includes all the required files.

I have attached packed zipped file and also included the .dat file for villages separately since it was not among the packed files.

The loadcase is not failing when I run the program. The only problem is that the capture type for Q1_5 is not set to radio button. When I change that it I see the list of villages for the sublocation.
