Changing properties for multiple fields

Post by katriel »

On CSPro 5.0.3 I can't figure out how to change properties for multiple fields at once. To wit, I want to set a bunch of fields to use radio buttons.

This blog post from a couple years ago says it can be done as of 5.0.1: http://www.csprousers.org/2012/07/17/ch ... le-fields/. But the description is somewhat obscure: what does "highlight the fields using the mouse" mean? I have tried to drag-select, I have tried SHIFT-Click, I have tried Ctrl-Click, and I have tried all three in both the forms navigation pane and the forms display pane. Nothing works.

Is this a regression in a more recent version?

You can definitely change the properties for multiple fields in all the versions after 5.0.1. (I would have noticed if you couldn't, as I use that feature constantly.) One problem is that your selection may include more than just fields. For example, if you've highlighted both fields and text labels, then you won't get the multiple fields option. So:

1) Only select fields.

2) Right-click and select "Field Properties" or press Alt-Enter on the keyboard.
