Using Occurences

Post by Realson »

I try to create a CSEntry file for android devices. I make a survey on households and persons who lives in the households. I wanna link the variable "number of persons in the household" with the number of occurences i must generate.
Per example, if i have a household of three persons. I want to have only three occurences for the variables of persons characteristics. If the number of person is five, i want to have five occurences.
I can't find a way to do this.

Hope i'll find now!

Thanks a lot!

Dear Realson,
I don't know if there's a way to do it directly/dynamically. But, usually i use the "count, where" words to verify if the total number of persons in a households is equal to the number of filled occurences in a roster...With, "Where" name of persons is <> "".

Try putting the person records in a roster in your form and setting the "occurrence control field" of the roster (right click on roster and choose roster properties from the context menu) to the name of a numeric field in your housing record that is set to the number of people in the household.
