CsPro Encrypted Data File in DropBox

Post by Vicmarfe »

Hi CsPro team:
Our field enumerators have encrypted CsEntry data files on their tablets, for now we can only synchronize the data files to Dropbox, but when we download from DropBox through DataViewer these files are no longer encrypted, all enumerators have the password of DropBox account access, I might download the data file and maybe misuse it, please I need advice to solve this concern.
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Victor

Hi Victor,

Dropbox supports encryption during transmission, but the files are stored unencrypted on their servers.

If you are concerned about data access, you should either keep the dropbox password secure, or use CSWeb.

Thanks Sherrell,
Unfortunately for now, we don't have possibility to access any CSWeb server, my concern is that all the enumerators in the field have access to DropBox with the same password, any of them could access and download the data for purposes not desired. Thanks anyway.
Best
Victor
