Removed all credentials

Post by khurshid.arshad »

Dear CSPro Team

I am using CSPro 7.4.

I have removed all credentials to follow the following procedures. But it is still asking for previous credentials:
  • Remove the CSPro version 7.3 and install new version 7.4.
  • Settings>>Applications>>Applications manager>>CSEntry>>”Clear Data”/Clear Cashe”
  • Settings>>Lock screen and security>>Other security settings>>”Clear Credentials”
Please advice.

Thanks.

Have you tried doing this within CSEntry? That is what we added in 7.4:

1) Open CSEntry.
2) Select "Settings" from the menu.
3) Click on "Clear Credentials."

If you do this and it is still remembering your old credentials, let us know.

Dear Gregory;

The same issue after following your instructions. For reference screenshots attached.

1) Open CSEntry.
2) Select "Settings" from the menu.
3) Click on "Clear Credentials."

it should be Csweb7_3 instead of csweb1.

Thanks.

I think that it is working as designed. Clearing the credentials deletes the saved passwords so that it asks you again for the password again. That is exactly what is happening in the screenshot.

If this is happening with update application, that is how the feature works. Update always tries to download the application from the server that it was first installed from. To change that, delete the application from the device and install it again from the new server.

Dear Josh

As you instructed, the issue has been resolved. But, i am working on three different projects and for this purpose i have three different CSWeb. Like,
http://IPAddress/csweb/api (csweb version is 7.1.3)
http://IPAddress/csweb1/api (csweb version is 7.1.3)
http://IPAddress/csweb7_3/api (csweb version is 7.3)

Example;
If i have already installed "CSWeb" and want to install "CSWeb1", then need to remove CSWeb application. Similarly, when i need to re-install the CSWeb, i have to remove CSWeb1.

is there a way that without removing the application we can remove the credentials.

Best.

The server url is stored in the pacakge.csds file in the application folder. If you delete that file, when you do update applications it will no longer attempt the application in that folder.
