Hello everyone !
I designed a data entry with a lot of variables. The data is entered and I am now in the export phase:
please, I will need a little advice if not tip on how it should be that exports:
Export everything in the same dataset or should I export record by record?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these two methods?
(export in a dataset and export in multiple dataset and cross them later if necessary)
Thanks to reply !

Re: What is better in Export in a dataset or record by record
If you have multiply occurring records, it is generally easiest to export the data record by record and then link them in the statistical software of your choice. Personally I like to export with the "As Separate Records" option instead of having to deal with exported names like SEX_1, SEX_2, ..., especially if your record has many occurrences.
As I just replied to you in another forum, I suggest that you look into batch exports. You have a lot more control over how your data is exported using batch exports as compared with using the Export Data tool.
