Re: Roster Limit

Hi Yaw, There is no real limit on the # of items in a roster; that said, having a large number (say 100+) can cause performance issues on the display. Is it happening on an Android, a Windows device, or both? Does the freeze always occur at the same place in your program? If so, that would more like...

Re: Export data to SPSS

Hi Seeiso, Great! Glad to hear the beta version worked. There's a lot of new features in v7.7, not all of which are documented, tho they will be when it gets officially released early next year. Little boy in 2004:  I was there twice, and during those (month-long) work trips we went Thaba Bas...

Re: Roster operation

Hi Mahedi, Ooops! Sorry, I was playing around with things. I'm not a fan of having empty records, so I made a last minute change to eliminate it from the 2nd roster, which then caused the endgroup to not work properly. See attached for a fix, where I keep the empty record in the 2nd roster (which at...

Re: Main Dictionary: Writecase and Sync in logic

I'm going to guess that SQL has a wee bit more programmers on staff :) We're a pretty small shop, so we can only do so much. Right now, expanding the reporting & export features has taken the priority. And of course, even if we have good ideas on how to improve CSPro, unless it's something that ...

Re: Export data to SPSS

Hi Seeiso, I just ran it without a hitch. I'm also using PSPP. If interested, why don't you try this out on the beta 7.7? For beginning with that release, we write files natively. You can download it here: https://www.csprousers.org/beta/ Launch CSPro, go to the "Tools" menu item and choos...

Re: Main Dictionary: Writecase and Sync in logic

synching: attempting to sync an actively-in-use datafile could cause all sorts of potential problems/issues/concerns. Therefore, there are no plans to change that behavior. writecase: concerns noted, but likewise, no plans to allow this. Some of the same issues would arise as when attempting to sync...

Re: Roster operation

Hi Mahedi, See attached for a few revisions. A few observations too: [1] See the postproc of IDCODE_R2 for how to handle the age skip. [2] IDCODE_R1/R2: you don't need to define each value, just use a range (see the dcf) [3] AGE: no range has been defined. This means someone could enter negative val...

Re: Roster operation

I think the original question: >What will be the logic if present roster is asked only if age greater than 5 in previous roster? meant to say ROW, not roster. However, even if a repeating record has been split into two rosters, with AGE being placed in the first roster, and it is evaluated in the se...

Re: Export data to SPSS

Hi Seeiso,

You can export floating pt #s to SPSS. What version of CSPro are you using and how are you exporting the data?

If you can post your dictionary here and provide at least one case with a floating number I can take a look at it.
