Alphanumeric questions, by default, can be left blank. What is the simplest way to change that behaviour, i.e. make them compulsory?

The table is called "notes". In the .csdb file on the tablet it contains the note, but in the .csdb dowloaded from the server by DataViewer, the note is missing.
I sent you the app and both .csdb files.
