Re: Reading Unicode

Did you check the "Unicode output" option under Additional Options in the export tool? The default is to output the data in ANSI, but you can export the data in UTF-8, which later versions of SPSS can read.

Re: Resolution Setting With CSPro Command

Using the execsystem function, you can execute other programs. You might look at this program to change the resolution and launch it using the execsystem function: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/qres.html

Re: Sequential ID items

alesson.aguiar, in a couple months we'll have an Android version ready. You can use it for collecting data on Android tablets or phones. You'll design your applications on the desktop and then you can run them on Windows desktops/tablets, or on Android devices.

Re: Tabulate Non Value Set Itmes

lls is correct. You must have a value set to create a table. However, if you use the Tabulate Frequencies tool, you don't need to have a value set, as that tool can show the frequencies for every single value in your data file.

Re: concatenation behaviour

The problem we had when designing for the Unicode version is that CSPro uses simple text files as our data files, so we don't have any useful way of storing metadata about the file. For example, if we used a binary format, we could have a flag that indicated if the data was ANSI or UTF-8, but we don...

Re: Printing data entry form

Did writeform crash using CSPro 5 or an earlier version? As I mentioned earlier, we discontinued support of FViewer starting with CSPro 5, so if you're using the most recent version of CSPro, you won't be able to usefully use this writeform statement. Your best option to print out form data is to si...

Re: Cspro version shifter (Install probleme)

You can read more about the tool here: http://www.csprousers.org/tools/ "This program is designed for power users who have multiple versions of CSPro on their machines. It can change the registry to associate all of the CSPro files (.dcf, .ent, etc.) with an older version of CSPro. (Some users ...

Re: Newbie question on Level in CSPro

Sovatha, Are you only interviewing one household head and one disabled person for each household? If so, then you could create an application with one level and simply have these different sections as records on the first level. The only reason you might consider using two levels is if you will have...

Re: Add, Modify Mode

Hey Arshad, 1) When resuming from partial save mode, CSPro reports that it is in modify mode until you reach the file where you last stopped entering data, at which point the mode switches to add mode. This is, in part, because people often prefill fields while in add mode, but they wouldn't want to...
