Sync data back to tablet

Hi, I'm wondering if the following is possible and/or advisable: Say that I have a regular survey going on collecting the same data every month (For instance price collection for CPI), and I want to compare this months data with last month, but only after they have been checked and maybe corrected b...

Division?

This is a question I never thought I would ask in this forum, but how do we divide numbers? I tried the following: errmsg("%d", 1/3); and the result was 0, but I want 0.33333 The manual claims that / is the division operator working on numeric expressions and also that a numeric variable i...

Re: Getting rid of old data?

As the data file grew by almost 1 Mb per month, I feel it's safer to delete the data, as they're not used anymore anyway..

And the "create" argument worked perfectly. Thank you! Would never have thought about it..

Getting rid of old data?

Hi, I'm working on an app to collect prices for CPI, and of course I want to compare to the prices last month. Hence I have an external dictionary with a csdb file of the relevant data. And each month, I want to get rid of the data that I don't need anynore. I can't just delete the datafile as it's ...

Re: error when adding dictionary to CSWeb

Thanks.
We had already upgraded to 7.3, but I assume it must have happened because we probably went from betaversion of 7.1 to 7.3

(I know. We shouldn't have done it that way.... )

Anyway: It works now! :D

Re: error when adding dictionary to CSWeb

My colleagues were desperate so I ended up deleting the mysql database and reconfigure the whole system.

This made it work for now.. But still: What happened?

error when adding dictionary to CSWeb

Hi, We have a problem adding more than one dictionary to CSWeb. The first one works OK, but when we try to add the second one, we get the error message "Failed to add dictionary. We are sorry, but something went terribly wrong". And this is the corresponding entry in the log file: [2019-10...

Re: CSEntry error 100110

(BTW: It would be great if the documentation for this is updated. This is how the example at the bottom of the syncfile documentation looks:)

Re: CSEntry error 100110

Thank you so much for the help.. Never thought about using the "add application" to achieve this.

And just in time: We just started training with the tablets.. :)
