Identifying sound recording to the questions

Hy folks,
We are using sound recording to keep track of what is going on in the field, if the interviewers are asking correctly the questions, if they are not answwering them by themselves, etc.
It is working well, we discovered a buch of bad interviewers, but...

Re: converting csv to csdb in the server

Thanks, Justin,
I´ll try another approach with the data provider. Instead of a csv, I´ll ask for a fixed width text format, and work directly with that file in the server, without converting it to a csdb.

converting csv to csdb in the server

Hi folks,
I´m receiving a csv file stored in the server, and I need to convert it to a csdb file, in the server.
What I´m trying to do now is a little bit ackward, in four steps, such as:
1. syncfile with a GET to download the csv file.
2. an excel macro to read the csv and convert it to a xlsx file ...

endcase and postproc for the level

Hi folks,
Acoording to the help documentation, the endcase stops executing the questionnaire and passes control to the next one.
But, as I checked out, it still executes the level postproc. I changed all the code that I had onthis level to the postproc for the household and then it worked.

Recording an interview

Hi folks,
When CsEntry is recording an interview, is there a way to prevent showing that on the screen. We are recording some parts of the interview, and we would like that the interviewers did no know which parts are being recorded.

systime function

Hi folks,
Something very strange is happening with it:
We use to call it at the beginning of every block during a data entry program, and sometimes, we do not know why, the call returns a time which is much lesser than the previous one, with maybe two hours difference. We are passing "HHMMSS" as ...

Re: problem in downloading a file from the server

Thanks for the replay.
The question of migrating to 8.0 is a little bit difficult now, since this particular survey is still being worked in the field.
For the new surveys in the future that are being programmed we are thinking of updating to 8.0. The problem is that we need to create a new server ...
