Re: Android 11

Hi Ari, How funny, clicking on the 3rd URL doesn't launch? It's the editor that's abbreviating what you see, I can't control that. See below, I've split it across 2 lines so you can read it. It's called Cx File Explorer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/ details?id=com.cxinventor.file.explorer She...

Re: labels of the occurrences

Hi Maria, The following assumes you have a repeating record named ROSTER that repeats 12 times, and that ROSTER contains 4 variables: NAME, Q1, Q2, and Q3. All the "name" fields (friends, family, etc) should have the same defined length in the DCF (for ex, alpha 15). PROC ROSTER000 preproc // the fo...

Re: CSPro does not save CAPI question text

Hi Sophie, Thanks for your application and instructions on how to reproduce your error. Unfortunately we can't reproduce it. Greg thinks your computer possibly can't run the Edge web control. If it's not installed already, could you install the Edge browser? If it's already installed or installation...

Re: Edit ID variables in CSDB

Hello Enkhbayar, Unless you have locked the ID variables from modification, enumerators can always change the IDs from within a case, whether the case is in progress or has been saved, and whether it's a text file or CSDB file. Of course, if they try to change the IDs and it matches another case in ...

Re: Set occurrence labels from external file

You can certainly hard-code all of that in your program. Do the second part of what I recommended, creating your value set dynamically, but have those 294 codes in your program, rather than fetching them from a lookup file.

Re: Android 11

Hi Ari, I just got a new Samsung phone running Android 11, and I hadn't yet installed CSEntry on it, as I test on my tablet. But figured now was a good time to install. And of course I got the same problem, couldn't see my files below Android > data, as this was an Android change. Possible strategie...

Re: Set occurrence labels from external file

Hi Manish, This is a classic usage of a lookup table. Create a DCF with a single record, using dept_code as your ID. The remaining data would be DCF items within that record (item_code, item_label, unit). https://www.csprousers.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4374&p=13599&hilit=lookup+files#p13599 You...

Re: How to Show Previously Entered (in Roster) Records

I recommend creating a list of people, and then presenting that list using the accept statement: https://www.csprousers.org/help/CSPro/list.html https://www.csprousers.org/help/CSPro/accept_function.html You can also dynamically create a value set for the page 3 variable that is built in essentially...

Re: Strange values in skipped variables

> The issue is I have strange values in some cases after the whole section was skipped. When you say strange values, do you just mean you have values in the fields? i.e., in the screen shot you provided, 1 and 2 are anticipated values. So, the fields do not contain garbage/other values. Without seei...

Re: CAPI Language translation pasting

Hi, 2] You can use the Question Text Macro option within CSPro's CAPI dropdown menu (the last item). https://www.csprousers.org/help/CSPro/question_text_macros.html Note you'll see the syntax for the pasting on the dialog itself that gets launched. If you're using languages, you'll have to insert a ...
