Error writing file (500)

When trying to deploy an application; I get this error:
Error writing file (500)
Any idea what that can mean?

I tried to deploy again an hour later, and received no error message.
But I am still curious what error 500 means.

This post has a previous example of 500 errors. These are generic internal server errors. If your server error cleared up by itself after an hour, it's possible your server was experiencing temporary connectivity issues. The details can be found in CSPro's sync.log file. If you were deploying to CSWeb, details can also be found in CSWeb's log files.
