Hello guys,
I am not too sure if is just my computer or Avast, but textview.exe is being flagged as a Winn32:Malware-Gen Trojan. I have test extracted the textview program directly from the install package and copied into a flash drive and my computer is still flagging it as a Trojan. I also went as far as submitting the textview program in TotalVirus online to test and it is still being flagged by Avast only. The rest of the other virus scanners passed. Can you try to find out if this is an isolated event?

I had the same problem on my machine. It is a false positive. I issued a report to Avast. If you could do the same I believe that if they get enough false positive reports they will stop flagging it.

I also had the same problem on my laptop and I have already sent a message to Avast.
