CSPro 7.0 beta web server DB connection

Post by jfigueroa »

Hi everyone,

I have one question due to the CSPro 7.0 beta web server database connection.
Does this connection is native? or can be done by odbc?
Also does it only can work with MySQL?

I am asking this because, now I am on the configuration CSPro web server step.
Any comments are really appreciated.

Regards everyone.

Dear jfigueroa,
I don't think that the server is based on odbc for data transfer, but on native php_pdo_mysql library.
I'm not sure, but i think that it support only MySQL.
Greg and Josh may precise and inform us what DBMS are supported now and in the future release.
Since i setup and use it, i can help everyone. Please specify what trouble who occur to you for more help.

Best Regards

Hi,
Thank you so much for your fast reply htuser.

The point of my question is because head here (boss), was asking me if the CSPro web server only works with MySQL.
I think because they wanted to use another database type.

Yes it will be good if Greg and Josh help us precising what DBMS are and going to be supported.

By now I am going to try convince them (here) to use MySQL, so we can start testing CSPro 7.0. beta. I really can´t wait to start testing it, and show it to my team.
Have big expentations on it.

Thank you so much to everyone.
Regards.

Currently we only support mysql. We are considering supporting other databases in the future but we don't have a list yet. Let us know which ones would be most useful.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for precising us what DB does CSPro web server support.
Well, by now I managed to convince them to use MySQL, so I think is ok.

I´ll get ready with configuration to test it.
Thank you so much to everyone.
Regards.
Joshua Figueroa.
