Urdu Font

Post by khurshid.arshad »

Dear CSPro Team;

I trust everyone is doing well.

I'm using a unique Urdu font for CAPI on my system, and I'm now interested in extending its use to our tablets. Currently, I cannot install this font individually on each tablet. There is a way to use this font while the application deploy?
Thanks.

Thank you. I think you are referring to the setfont function. If so, then it is not for the tablet. If you are talking something else, please share the steps for CAPI text.
Thanks.

CSPro fully supports Unicode, so can you use the Unicode Urdu characters, rather than a specific Urdu font (that presumably wraps the ANSI character range)?

Dear Gregory;

I hope you are doing well. Please give my regards to the team.

I am using unicode for Urdu. Actually, for more readability on the tablet, I want to use another font which is meant for Urdu typing.

Attached is the reference picture for your convenience.

Thanks.

It looks like you can change the font on some Android devices: https://www.androidpolice.com/change-fo ... oid-phone/

I was not able to on my Pixel 7 though, so I'm not sure there's really a great option to modify the font. If you want to build a custom CSEntry and modify the font that we use, you can ask Savy for the source code.
