Re: Dynamically generated Valueset not appearing in Android
This post finally enabled me to get household rosters to appear on my Android tablets. Perhaps this needs better documentation. A few of the setvalueset examples also include a "set attributes" line, but I didn't see any with setcapturetype. Or, maybe the default for setvalueset should be ...

(in response to a topic "Restrict numbering" in "Other" about using names collected in an earlier roster module in subsequent rosters and questions. Both approaches are possible. To link them [names from an earlier roster for questions in a later module] via variable in one recor...

Re: translating tradition CSPro entry to CAPI entry?
OK, I'm learning. So "designed for key from paper" means no touchscreen on Windows CSPro? Even on radio buttons? Then our choice would be Windows with more flexibility for designing the screen with multiple questions but no touchscreen OR Android with a touchscreen but only one question pe...

Re: translating tradition CSPro entry to CAPI entry?
We checked with other capi folks (e.g., NFHS in India) and they prefer multiple questions on a screen. Re: translating tradition CSPro entry to CAPI entry?
Thanks Josh. These are helpful. So, CSPro creates the Android form for me, even on a tablet, one question at a time. If I want more than one question on a screen, then I need to go to Windows and create the forms. That seems like a big advantage for Windows. I have ~600+ questions for a household an...

translating tradition CSPro entry to CAPI entry?
I need to develop a CAPI interface from an older paper-and-pencil questionnaire that had been processed with CSPro for data entry. What is the best strategy for translating the older CSPro forms for traditional data entry from paper questionnaires into forms for CAPI interviewing? First, I have to a...

consulting for CAPI/Android
The India Human Development Survey ( http://ihds.umd.edu/index.html ), is in the process of transferring to a CSPro/CAPI interview and is interested in hiring/ consulting with some experienced CSPro programmers. The IHDS is a large all-India panel survey with previous waves in 2005 and 2012. We have...
