Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Thanks. So in theory it should be working but when I still don't manage to synchronise my tablet with dropbox despite having installed cspro 7.0 on my computer (windows) and having created a new case in DB format on my computer as you suggested. The tablet still gives me the message that this versio...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Ok, I see! So now I have managed to create a first case in DB format on my computer (in windows). However, the real data collection will happen on tablets (android), so how can I ensure that the data will be collecte in DB format on the tablets? I guess the tablet doesn't ask me to create a file lik...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Hi, I still haven't managed to solve this problem unfortunately. I renamed my scpro data entry application with a new name and tried running it with cspro v7.0 and starting to record the first case. The little window pops up where I am asked to select the "input data file" (see image); thi...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Great thanks, it works now. However, I am still unable to create the data collection in DB format. Could you please tell me step by step what I have to do to collect the data in DB format on my tablet? I created the CAPI program on a computer in windows, but the data collection will be done on five ...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Hi,

ok so if I understand correctly it is once I collect the data with the tablets that I need to ensure I collect them in a DB format.

I installed cspro v 7.0.2 but am unable to open the .ent file I had created with v 6.3. Any idea why?

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Thank you very much for your quick reply. So if understand correctly, I only need to use DB format for the data that I'll collect (and not for the data entry files such as dictionary and other). Is this right? In the comun you mention, I tried changing "text" to "csprodb" but I g...

Synchronising from different tablets

Hi, in my survey I use one questionnaire on five different tablets (for five different interviewers). I want the collected data to be sent to dropbox to be certain it doesn't get lost. In order to do this, do I need five different dropbox accounts or is one enough? Also, I want to make sure that dat...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

... in fact I'll specify my question: I have now installed cspro 7.0.2 and in the data viewer I am trying to convert what you call text files to cspro DB. However, I don't know which text files I am supposed to convert to DB. What extension do they have? Is it the dictionary or other files? Just as ...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Thank you for the explanation. And how do I use this DB format? If I understood well, I'll download CRpro v7.0 and open my old files on the new version. But how exactly do I use this DB? Where do I find it? Is it something I need to create, or convert...? Sorry if I'm a bit slow but I don't know whe...

Re: Changing to CSPro v7

Hi,
thank you for your reply.

Could you kindly give me more detail on when/how to use the DB data format rather than text?

Thanks!
