Re: onfocus vs preproc

There are other reasons to use preprocs. For example: PROC MARITAL_STATUS preproc if AGE < 12 then MARITAL_STATUS = 0 ; noinput ; endif ; If you had that noinput in the onfocus, there would be no way to move backwards because every time you got to that field you would prefill in marital status and n...

Re: Excel to CsPro producing wrong IDs

The issue here is that Excel to CSPro doesn't round numbers, so, as an example, a value in your data like 44.98 is getting treated as 44 instead of 45. We'll change the behavior for CSPro 7.2.1, to be released later this week, so that numbers are rounded before the conversion.

Re: Need confirmation about ID Duplicate on CSWeb Synchronization

To add to what Josh says, if you open the file in CSEntry (on Windows), you can select View -> View Duplicate Cases Only. That will show you the duplicates and allow you to delete them, change the IDs, etc.

Re: importing stata data into cspro

There is no direct way to import Stata data into CSPro. Your best option is to turn your Stata data into Excel/.csv, and then use the Excel to CSPro tool to convert it to CSPro format.

Re: File Manipulation Functions (fileread, open, filewrite, etc.) Not Working In Android.

We use file operations a lot in the Android environment, so I'm not sure what the problem is. If you declare file f in PROC GLOBAL, you'll be able to associate f with a file when specifying your file associations. If you specify the filename there, rather than by using setfile, are you able to perfo...

Re: Value set images do not appear in Tablet

A saw a demo of an application last week that had value set images and everything displayed well on the Android tablet. I suspect there still is something wrong with the image paths. Try copying the pen/pff/images to a different folder on your computer and see if they display there. That should be a...

Re: Using Household records as dropdown in another roster

Take a look at page 36 of the training materials:

http://www.csprousers.org/resources/CSP ... rkshop.pdf

That shows how to create a dynamic value set from a roster.

Re: Dynamic Value in a Roster

You can create a value set that does not contain the options previously selected. Something like this: PROC VALUE onfocus array numeric vs_codes( 100 ); array string vs_labels( 100 ); numeric vs_counter = 1 ; do numeric vs_value = minvalue (VALUE_VS1) while vs_value <= maxval...

Re: problem of exporting data to SPSS

For those who are having this problem, it is fixed in CSPro 7.2.1, which we will release next week. In the meantime, you can use the "Unicode output" option to get the correct results. This requires a version of SPSS from the last few years.

Re: Value set images do not appear in Tablet

Did you copy over the image files to the tablet? They need to be in the same relative folders as they appear on Windows. When distributing applications, some people bundle their images using resource folders:
